In the event that the site admin account password is lost, it can be reset in one of two ways. If your machine is online and RMATS (Remote Maintenance And Testing) is enabled, the SpammerTrap Support team can reset your password remotely. If not, you can reset it provided you have physical access to the server and a console session to view the screen: This procedure will reset both (1) console login username and password and (2) GUI site administrator password to factory settings. If you do not know the factory username and password, consult the Administrator Manual or QuickStart instructions came in the carton with your SpammerTrap appliance. NOTE: This procedure is only available to Appliance customers who have physical access to their device. This will ONLY reset the password on the connected physical device and will not reset the password on any associated cluster devices.
If you experience problems with the above procedure, contact Support at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 561-999-5000 (select Option 2) or directly at 561-939-7254 and ask for help. SpammerTrap Support staff can reset the password to factory defaults, which you can later change to a custom password. Note: Support staff will only be able to reset the password if "RMATS" (Remote Maintenance and Testing) was left on. It is on by default. If you have disabled RMATS or SpammerTrap support staff can't access your device you will need administrative access to your firewall, or will need to ship the SpammerTrap back to SECNAP.
