SECNAP Network Security has an opportunity for a Helpdesk and Customer Support Associate with a background in desktop networking and related fundamental concepts. Hands-on experience with existing tools is paramount. The ideal skill set might look like this:

  • A solid understanding of networked/distributed computing environment concepts
  • Routing and switching
  • Ability to track and complete support requests from employees and customers
  • Experience in Internet and network issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
  • Knowledge and experience with various desktop operating systems, including Windows 7 and OSX
  • Knowledge and experience with various server operating systems, including Windows 2008 and FreeBSD
  • Desire to learn and share knowledge
  • Clear oral and written communications skills

In addition to knowledge of Network Engineering and Operating Systems, applicants should possess one or more professional certifications, such as:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Unix Administrator
  • Associates in Computer Science or related work experience
