Security Sales Engineer - Boca Raton, Florida

SECNAP Network Security has an opportunity for a Security Sales Engineer with a background in Network Engineering and related fundamental concepts. Hands-on experience with existing tools is paramount. The ideal skill set might look like this:

• A solid understanding of networked/distributed computing environment concepts
• Routing and switching
• Internetworking protocols
• Client/server programming
• Experience in Internet and network security issues
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning techniques using both conventional and unconventional tools
• Knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
• Familiarity with encryption standards and tools
• Knowledge of and experience with firewalls and security appliances
• Knowledge and experience with various Operating Systems, including Microsoft and Unix
• Desire to learn and share knowledge
• Clear oral and written communications skills

In addition to knowledge of Network Engineering and Operating Systems, applicants should possess one or more professional certifications, such as:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (Professional) (CCNA/CCNP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
• Unix Administrator
