Michael Scheidell, Founder

Michael Scheidell is a recognized expert in the network and data security community, with a strong history of innovation and entrepreneurship.  As the company’s chief technologist, he leads the SECNAP development team in the ongoing pursuit of the next disruptive security technology.

Since founding SECNAP in 2001, he and his team have developed a suite of IT security products with impressive results—including a patented intrusion detection system, award-winning SpammerTrap® email security solution, and Rule18TM, a breakthrough email encryption solution for the white-hot smartphone market as well as laptops, Macs and PCs.

Security technology developed by Mr. Scheidell was awarded a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in October, 2009.

  • Mr. Scheidell has discovered and resolved vulnerabilities that are currently represented on the Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) list.
  • A member of the FBI InfraGard program since 1996, he works with other information technology experts and educators to assist the FBI's investigative efforts in the cyber arena.
  • He supports the National Cyber Security Alliance, a partnership of government and industry members whose goal is to educate Americans on the importance of computer security as an aspect of homeland defense.
  • Mr. Scheidell is a member of ISACA (Information Security Audit and Control Association), ISSA (Information Systems Security Association), and CSI (Computer Security Institute).
  • He is the official Source Code maintainer for the FreeBSD Ports version of SpamAssassin.

Lawrence Litowitz, CFO

Lawrence Litowitz has led or participated in eleven IPOs and served as CFO of three public companies ranging from $25 million to $350 million. Three decades of experience includes senior positions with venture and growth-stage, public, and entrepreneurial companies across a broad range of industries.

Mr. Litowitz is experienced in private and public offerings, reorganizations and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, SEC investigations, and SEC accounting rules and practices. He has served as a partner of Tatum CFO Partners, LLC, for more than five years, and as CFO for Galen Partners, a venture capital firm specializing in technology and healthcare with more than $400 million under management.  Total revenue of the portfolio companies exceeded $800 million.

As CFO of Master Collision Repair, Inc., a network of auto repair facilities in Florida, he raised $35 million in capital, completed 11 acquisitions, and successfully positioned the company for sale. He holds a BS in accounting from Brooklyn College and an MBA from New York University.

Steven Gallers, COO

Mr. Gallers has with 35 years experience including working for a large international certified public accounting firm as an auditor, Chief Financial Officer for a publicly traded company and numerous positions of increasing responsibility as an officer for small to medium size entrepreneurial companies in computer technology. Mr. Gallers has assisted several companies in raising private equity from start-up to development. Mr. Gallers holds a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University.
