Michael Scheidell, Founder and CEO
Michael Scheidell is the company's founder and chief executive officer. A recognized expert, speaker and author in the network and data security community, Mr. Scheidell has a strong history of innovation and leadership. He also serves as the company's chief technologist, leading the SECNAP development team in the ongoing pursuit of the next generation of security technology. Since founding SECNAP in 2001, he and his team have aggressively developed a suite of IT security and anti-spam products with impressive results, including patent-pending intrusion detection technology and the revolutionary SpammerTrap email security solution.
Prior to forming SECNAP, Mr. Scheidell founded Florida Datamation, a real-time network system integrator. Under his leadership the firm grew to be the largest QNX distributor in the world. Prior to that he served as Business Development Director for VenturCom, Inc., an institutionally-funded provider of products and services for Microsoft-based, embedded real-time and control applications. Mr. Scheidell began his entrepreneurial career in 1971 when he developed and sold his first computer software program to one of the original X.25 network providers.
During his distinguished career he has discovered and resolved vulnerabilities that are currently represented on the Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) list. As a member of the FBI InfraGard program since 1996, Mr. Scheidell works with other information technology experts and educators to assist the FBI's investigative efforts in the cyber arena. He supports the National Cyber Security Alliance, a partnership of government and industry members whose goal is to educate Americans on the importance of computer security as an aspect of homeland defense. He is also a member of ISACA (Information Security Audit and Control Association) and ISSA (Information Systems Security Association).
In 2008, Mr. Scheidell won the Most Valuable Performer Award for Technology Leadership, sponsored by Network Products Guide; the Technology Award in the Internet-Based technology category from the South Florida Business Journal; and the Shaping Information Security Award sponsored by Info Security Products Guide.

Jim Garrity, COO, VP of Sales and MarketingJim Garrity is an information technology channel veteran with more than a dozen years' experience in distribution and reseller organizations and a specialty in building successful sales cultures that deliver significant and rapid sales growth. His insights, expertise and reputation in the technology channel bring a unique advantage to the channel program at SECNAP Network Security, where he is responsible for the company's award-winning network security product suite and email security solutions offered through the channel. Previously, he served as president of IT solutions provider MoreDirect for several years, after joining the company in 1999 as vice president of sales and marketing. Garrity honed his skills in the technology channel at Ingram Micro, the world's largest information technology distributor. In 2009 he was named to the prestigious Channel Chiefs list by CRN Magazine and helped to win recognition of the SECNAP Channel One Partner Program among the VAR community, including Five-Star Partner Program ranking from Everything Channel. |

Steven Gallers, CFOMr. Gallers is a certified public accountant with 35 years experience including working for a large international certified public accounting firm as an auditor, Chief Financial Officer for a publicly traded company and numerous positions of increasing responsibility as a financial officer for small to medium size entrepreneurial companies in computer technology. Mr. Gallers has assisted several companies in raising private equity from start-up to development. Mr. Gallers holds a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University. |
