BOCA RATON, Fla., September 29, 2009 – SECNAP^® Network Security is proud to endorse National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October. In its ninth year of sponsorship by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), National Cyber Security Awareness Month is a public awareness initiative designed to educate computer users in properly safeguarding their information as well as our nation’s critical cyberstructure.

In 2008, the National Cyber Security Awareness initiative reached more than 29 million Americans through the media, school lesson plans, and partnerships with businesses and associations. At that time, President Bush declared official support for National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the U.S. Senate passed a resolution in support of the initiative, and 41 state governors signed proclamations recognizing the initiative.
