Security and Privacy
SECNAP’s website uses security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. We store the information in a database in a secure environment at our datacenter.
We will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information to anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law. Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your requesting information.
Upon request, SECNAP will allow users to “opt-out” of promotional contacts at any time. Also, upon a user’s request, SECNAP will delete the user and his or her personal information from its database.
At times we will use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website and track usage. We also may track browser types to help us understand our visitors’ needs related to our website design.
There is an optional section of our website where registration forms require your name, company, address, phone and email address. This form provides the ability to opt-in to receive future emails from SECNAP as well as receive access to optional sections of our website. Managed Network Security Services, Network Security and Compliance Audits, Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments
SECNAP Engineers do not collect, maintain or forward any personally identifiable information (PPI) during their normal course of work. Any PPI accidentally received is immediately destroyed and the originating organization or individual is notified of both the accidental disclosure and the disposition of the PPI. All communications from SECNAP’s CloudJacket IDS/IPS and/or auditing or testing servers is sent using a minimum of 3DES SSL or TLS encryption.
SECNAP IONSPAM(tm) Managed Email Security Services and SpammerTrap(r) Email Security Appliance
SECNAP does not collect PPI of IONSPAM clients except that which is provided by SECNAP Channel One Partners or resellers. Any PPI, such as email addresses or names stored on IONSPAM servers, can be corrected by contacting the Partner or SECNAP site administrator. Passwords used in POP/IMAP/LDAP or WEBDAV authentication are not stored by SECNAP. Local authentication passwords are protected by forced complexity (8 chars max, three character sets) and stored in non-reversible md5 or salted md5 form. Neither SECNAP nor its Partners or resellers have access to the original passwords.
Client-side cookies are used to verify the login status of customers using products or services linked directly with our website. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any PPI while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, the user may still use our site; however, the user may not be able to access all areas of our site.
Server-side cookies are used to track web usage, to identify ‘worm based’ accesses, and to allow SECNAP to determine which web pages you visited so that we may assist you better.
